小平中央公園

Tamagawa Aqueduct(Tamagawa Josui)      Completed in 1654, it was created by diverting water from the river Tamagawa across the Musashino Plateau and into the city of  Edo(now Tokyo); its terminus was in the Yotsuya district. It supplied water to the city of Edo. It also provided irrigation for the Musashino region.

津田塾大学

Tsuda Umeko     The founder of what is now Tsuda College in Tokyo,  was one of the first Japanese women to study abroad. She went to the United States at the age of six in 1871.
